Webcam Instructions for Use:

LOGGING IN

Go to: www.foneBro.com

Enter your new Suite ID into the login field (upper right hand corner). When the security window appears, enter the below Username and Password into the named fields.

Username: _default_ (Underscore _ lines before and after the word default must be used)

Password: _default_

CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD IMMEDIATELY

After Logging-In with the issued _default_ Username and Password, click MAIN MENU (located above the Viewing Screens to the left) and select ‘My Profile' and click. You'll see the fields to change your Username and Password; it is recommended that you always use small case when entering new Usernames and Passwords. Your ‘Nickname' will be what appears in the ‘User' column on screen. It is mandatory to enter your Email Address.

IMPORTANT: Write down your USERNAME & PASSWORD…DO NOT FORGET IT!

TURNING YOUR WEBCAM ON

CLICK the ‘Send AV’ button under the viewing screen to the left. A window will appear for you to ‘Allow’ your cam to turn on; click ‘Allow’. Your web cam will immediately turn-on. Should your cam not instantly turn on and ‘VIDEO OFF’ displays after clicking ‘Send AV’ follow these instructions: Hold your cursor over the screen reading ‘Video Off’ and right-click your mouse. (MAC users hold the ‘Control’ key while clicking) Select ‘Settings’ by clicking; four small icons will appear, choose the web cam picture-icon and double click. A small scroll-down menu will appear, scroll the menu and select another choice. If there are more than one choice, choose another selection until your cam turns on. MAC users choose the USB choice…your cam will turn on.

BRINGING A FRIEND ON CAM

Select your guest in the ‘Users’ column, located to the right as you look at your Suite. Put your ‘Cursor’ over the Guest’s name and click. When the menu appears click ‘View Cam’ and your guest will appear on-screen. Guests use foneBro absolutely FREE when invited and there are no limits to how many Guests you can invite into your Suite 24-7!

DOOR BELL

When in your foneBro suite you can continue working on your computer by simply minimizing your browser while you work. Every Suite is equipped with a ‘Door Bell’ so your colleagues can notify you when they stop by to visit by clicking your Suite link. When you minimize your browser you may want to freeze your microphone and cam for privacy. All your new visitor has to do is ‘Ring’ your Doorbell button, located in the lower right-hand corner of your Suite. Email the link to your email address book and let them know you’ll be in your foneBro Suite all day if they wish to see you…just tell your guests to stop by and ‘Ring your Door Bell’ to summons you!

PRIVATE CHAT

When you wish to hold a private conversation with a colleague in another screen, go to the Suite’s User’s Column and select whom you wish to ‘Private Chat’ with by placing your cursor over their name and click. When the menu appears, select ‘Private Chat’ and click, when your colleague accepts the Private Chat request a separate window will appear with ‘2’ private screens and a text chat area. To activate, click one of the windows and your cam will turn-on. When your colleague clicks the other window they will also appear in the Private Chat.

Important: Before entering ‘Private Chat’ be sure to ‘Mute’ your microphone and ‘Freeze’ your Video by clicking over the small icons of Mic and Cam located under the screen you wish to silence and freeze the live streaming.

Sound Help

If you can not hear your foneBro partner in the adjoining screen, follow the following procedure:

Attempt 1: Check your volume control icon (lower right on PC's) to insure the 'mute' is not on.

Attempt 2: Hold your cursor over the screen with you in it and right click your mouse. Select 'Settings' and then double-click the icon of the microphone. When it opens you will see a volume bar where you can adjust the volume of your system. You will also see a 'Reduce Echo' box; make sure it is checked. If your volume increase does not give you instant sound, follow the 'Attempt 3' instruction below.

Attempt 3: REBOOT YOUR COMPUTER. Your original settings will be restored and your sound will work.

Guest Access

Before emailing an invitation to a guest, you must first register your invited guests and issue them a Username and Password before you send your invitation. To ‘Register’ them click ‘Main Menu’; then click ‘Edit Members’. Click ‘Add’ in the bottom right-hand corner of the pop-up screen. Create a new Username and Password for your guest; click ‘Save’.

When you complete the email invitation, put your newly created Username and Password for each friend in the required field on the email invite form prior to sending the invite.

Mandatory Fields to complete when ‘Adding’ Guests to your Suite:
-- Username
-- Password
-- Nickname
-- Email Address

Limited Guest Access

When you login with your Username and Password, you will notice a single field to the ‘right’ of your Username and Password login. When an individual’s enters via the right field log-in, they will be allowed to enter the Suite with limited functionality. Guests using this login will only be able to text, see and hear those in the viewing screens. The Guest will not have the power to come on cam or be heard unless they are issued a Guest Username and Password.
